Suggest that you search/repost on the Bluetooth page where all the reports on this are located.

Even though I started this adapter topic, I don't get mine installed until Tues-Wed of next week.

Cheers,
Ray Hull

okay Ray how did it go with your reprogramming of the tcu for the btum? I just took mine in this morning and they new nothing about the new accessory. And then one of the techs new what was going on but said he needed to open a PUMA case or something to get the work done under warrenty and possible replace the tcu. I said all i need is the cradle activated in the idrive but he stated that it would take some time to reprogram. In lyte of that situation they gave me a 2006 330i, that car is very quick quite and feels more solid than my e60 and also the professional radio booms with bass and volume compared to mine snywho just wondered how it went or is going

Stay tuned; they kept mine overnight for a "big" download of software (after telling me that it was only going to be 4 hours at noon). But the phone module went in fine he said, first thing this morning.

You can always refer them to BMWNA's exact parts and labor instructions that are reproduced in the BT/Cell phone board of this site. It's had nearly a 1000 dowloads, so it isn't just memebers reading...lol

NO TCU replacement is needed; just open the CPT9000 programming; the BT adapter takes it from there.

Thanks Ray i had been trying for the past year to get a new tcu to no avail and now after i purchase new parts they want to possibly replace it, go figure. That is what i told him that the they just need to possibly reinable the on board phone and let it know that i have a cpt9000 eject box but they said they need to call BMW and get some info from them the tech is really smart and is up on things so i have confidence in his ablility to get it working thanks for the reply.
