What 's up fellas,
I'm trying to findout what is the most popular phone that everyone is using in their BMW? I have a cingular phone, that isnt one that is compatable with the bluetooth says the dealer. So it causes my bmw assist not to work. I took the car in and they reset the bmw assist but they say that as long as i have this phone paired to the car its gonna cause the assist not to work. I also have a at&t tilt, so im trying to see if that one is compatable also. So if you could give me some insite on which phones you guys are using and if anyone has a current phone list for bmw compatable phones let me know thatnks.

I am using a AT&T Motorola RAZR cell phone and it work geat now with my idrive and blue tooth, Oh you might need this code when your paring and it ask you for one to proceed, and if it does, the BMW code is four "0000's", (or at least that was what mine was on my 2004 e60 530i model) Funny thing my local BMW dealer could not find me the code, but my AT&T store did in their bluetooth BMW idrive book, and their tech showed me how to do it, and then he did it for me, and it works BMW great now!!
Hope this helps you with your bluettoth in your idrive and your cell phone...

actually "0000" is somewhat of the default code for any BT pairing between devices. As long as you input the same code on both your phone and bmw (via idrive) you should be able to pair (as long as your e60 BT is activated).

BMW does not have a default pairing code. Usually, devices that have a preset (or default) code are devices that don't have any means of inputting numbers (like BT headsets, etc.)
The key to any BT pairing is to use the same code on both devices. If both devices have the ability to input any code, then you just have to make them the same.
In the case of Eddie using "0000" on his RAZR and his E60, it worked because they matched, not because he had to use that specific code. (In other words, he could have paired the two devices using any random code...)
