Ok, here is a weird one-

I got my car back from scheduled service a few weeks ago, and I am sure they updated the software. I have been pairing a Motorola V330 without any problems for the past year. Where I work is a "bad cell," and I received a call that started to connect (I got the permission screen, pressed yes...) but then the call dropped. The iDrive screen now permanently says "connecting 555-555-5555...." but I can't connect. I can't end the call from iDrive. I can't end the call pressing the steering wheel button. The radio is muted and there is a faint high-pitched whine coming thru the speakers. I tried turning Bluetooth off/on from my phone, no change. If cell Bluetooth is on and I try to make a call from my cellphone, it connects normally thru the cellphone and the car bluetooth remain stuck. If I turn the ignition off and wait several minutes, no change. I have tried every trick listed here, but the car Bluetooth seems to be completely frozen, radio muted, can't turn off bluetooth from the iDrive, can't delete the phone, NOTHING.

Aside from calling service tomorrow AM, anyone have any ideas?? Thanks....!

Either try keeping the car off for a 15-30 minutes and give it a try or if you have NAV try the three finger salute (CD Eject+DVD Eject+Mute).

I don't have NAV, but after 30 minutes the car reset itself completely- I had to do the entire connection setup over again, which took about 2 minutes. All is well again, thank you!! Better put this one in a FAQ somewhere....!
