I have a late March build 545 on order. Does anybody know if my Blackberry 7100 t (the new one, t-mobile) will work with it?
Thanks.
Thanks.

If you run the latest update of the software from Blackberry--version 4.0.0.198 the phone will pair, it will not lose connectivity and you can use the phone like a speakerphone. No phonebook transfer or voice dialing. You dial or answer from the phone and then the car takes over.

[/quote]Thanks maug1. That's good enough for me.
Do you know if there will be an update in the future to permit full compatability?

Probably not... Its a security issue with Blackberries, due to the fact that many government agencys use them. They do not want the possibility of someone hacking sensitive information via Bluetooth. This was the answer I was told by a Rogers?s tech support person.

I saw a segment on G4/TechTV where someone snarfed a bluetooth phone's complete contact database from 2 miles away...no joke. The way they explained it, there is no indication this is happening until when the bt connection is dropped by the culprit; then your phone will beep, but it will be too late.
