8800 with no doubt. The contacts you transfer to your blackberry via outlook (or otherwise) will appear in the car after the blackberry is paired with your car.

Ok ok...my dad has a treo 700p and I like the use of the arrow keys, which is similar to the setup of the 8800.

You shouldn't worry -- it seems that the only BlackBerry in the world that doesn't pair wonderfully with the E60 is mine!

Problem solved! Thanks to forum member ljmsrv550, the culprit was discovered... (see this post for more information)

It seems that if you create a contact group (or mailing list) for multiple contacts, the phonebook transfer hangs. In my case, I created one contact group (during a period of time that my car was getting some repairs over a few weeks) that began with the letters "ADV" so I was only getting contacts transferred from the beginning of the alphabet to the letters just before the "ADV" -- obviously it makes sense now but back then, it wasn't making too much sense as to what was going on -- it was clear that something in my BB was corrupting the transfer but it wasn't obvious what it was...

I had done a bunch of searches on the various BB forums but must've either missed the one that ljmsrv550 found or it's a more recent posting that wasn't available when I did my searching.

Needless to say, I'm pretty happy now that this is fixed (and I never had to do any major surgery to my database!)
