Blackberry 8700 v. 8700c...what is the difference?

My Ride: 2004 545 Sport, Euro delivery, 6 spd, comfort seats, sun shades, PDC, CWP, CPT900, red reflectors, CDV removed, blk/blk

I have a Blackberry 8700 and was wondering if it will sync with a 550 (have one on order, delivery in Feb.). I see that the 8700c will work well but despite some searching I can't find any discussion on the 8700. Based on the BMW website that addresses bluetooth phones, where they list the 8700c as being compatible, I saw in a footnote that a certain software version is reuired for the 8700c to work and I actually have that software version on my phone. Am I OK then?
