Hey guys, I hope someone can help diagnose this. I tried a friend's brand-new 7130c Blackberry that just released this week and it paired up perfectly with full functionality including address book download.

I was using an audiovox that worked great, but didn't sync the address book so I rushed out to pick up my own 7130c. The phone pairs, but for whatever reason does not switch to handsfree mode. I give it a couple minutes and it still does not make the connection. Based on how I thought the process works, you pair the phone, and then the car will detect the device, display the icon on the nav screen, and then go into handsfree mode when appropriate.

Has anyone experienced this issue, or have any ideas? My car is a 2006 550i. My Blackberry is running software version 4.1.0.321. Thank you all for any help that you can provide.

Same phone, same software, same problem but only randomly. Sometimes it goes to handsfree mode and sometimes it does not. I cannot determine why it will not switch to handsfree. The address book transfers seemlessly.

Try going to 'Settings', then 'Options', then 'Bluetooth'. Highlight the car's bluetooth, then click the wheel. Go to 'Device Properties' and make sure the 'Trusted' is 'Yes'.
