Thanks for the info Jason! I found the 4.1 and successfully downloaded to my 7100t. (cool icons + other enhancements)

Now, I've scheduled an appointment with my dealer to activate Bluetooth in my e60 for the first time. I'm running 17.1 in my car...does anyone know if I need an updated version to synch/download via bluetooth the complete address book of my 4.1 7100t? Any others items to take into consideration? Thanks...

OK, I am as stupid as they come, I guess. I downloaded the exe file, ran the application, it went through the motions but no chang on my 7100t. Any help is much appreciated.

I just recently upgraded to BB V4.1.0.309 and my phone book still doesn't get transferred.
The BB device software comes from Rogers, my cell service provider.

I'd appreciate any help to get the phone book to show up on iDrive screen.

btw, I recall, you need some sort of BT profile before the phone book transfer will work.
I can see there's an option in the BB 7290 to "allow phone book transfer" which I've enabled

The following Services are listed under the BT Options for the BMW14181 device:
Headset
Handsfree
Desktop Connectivity
Wireless bypass

Bump
I just got my car this afternoon and my CA paired my 7105t to the car no problem. I now just have to upgrade my phones firmware to 4.1... I have a question tho (first of undoubtedly many), do I have to go thru the act of pairing everytime I turn off the car and start it again? I'm probably missing something
TIA

Once you've paired the phone, you can go into the settings of the phone and tell it to pair automatically when in range (instead of asking permission, etc.)

After that, it should pair automatically every time...

Hi all. New to the forums, but here a first question: I have a BB 730g which will not pair with my Sept 05 525d (I previously had an 03 (E39) 530d with which the phone would pair?!?) When I ask the phone to look for Bluetooth devices it doesnt find the car. I know the Bluetooth in my car is switched on because it pairs with my old Nokia 6230.

Any ideas? I have updated to the latest BB software, so will it depend on the software on my car (which in theory should be more up to date than on my old E39)? How do I find out which version it has...

Many thanks
