Anyone using a T-Mobile Dash or HTC S620? If so, how does it work, and what does it show (signal strength, etc)? Thanks.
Yes, I'm using the T-Moblie Dash and it works fine. Everything works (dialing, phone book transfers, etc) except for the signal strength meter. With the "as shipped" software load, only the antenna beacon is displayed (without the signal strength bars). This shows that you are connected to the network - net search appears when the phone loses signal.
However, I loaded JETware Hands-free Extension for Windows Mobile phones (you can find it by doing a google search) and now the signal strength meter works. It also has a bonus feature that can limit what contacts are sent to the iDrive address book by category. I have over 400 contacts in Outlook with multiple number in each. Without being able to limit of contacts displayed, the iDrive address book was a mess -- there were way too many contacts to sort through while driving. I simply created a category called "bmw" and configured JETware to only send those contacts to the iDrive. It now works great. When I bought the Dash, I didn't think of the excessive contact problem ... JETware solves this problem.
The only problem that I have is with call-waiting. Whenever a call arrives via call-waiting, I can switch over to the incoming call, but the original call is lost. I had the same problem with my RAZR.
