A friend of mine that is an Engineer with Motorola Nextel division provided me with a prototype phone, not out in the market, the Nextel I605 with Bluetooth. When over to my car tried pairing the Bluetooth and everything works beautiful. Now I just don't know who to believe, BMW claims that the only phones that work with their system are the ones they list on those S.Bulletins.

[/quote]Well, I highly doubt iDEN would work with the E60's antenna so it will be more limited than a GSM handset. Do you get a lot of interference from the iDEN? I remember getting lots of audible and visible noise when I put iDEN devices near just about anything.

[/quote]i605 is out already in the marketplace and is not prototype anymore. About $249 with 2 yr commitment...
