On this page http://www.xbimmers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=165191 if you scroll down the document a bit, there's a reference to the All-New Smartphone Integration Option which allows complete integration of an iPhone for instance with iDrive using the iPhone cradle (see the bottom of the third image). I'm confused about the wording that says "option will be available starting with October 2008 production". Does that mean that vehicles produced before that date can't be upgraded/retrofitted with such an option?
