Hi guys,

I have a 530i 03/04 and want to activate BT. I read so far and I am going to watch teh video on coding with ncs expert.

First thing first. I am going to order a cable:

BMW USB OBD Diagnostic cable INPA Ediabas DIS SSS GT1
http://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-USB-OBD-...item4cf9b475a7

Will this work Or I need this:

BMW USB OBD Diagnostic cable INPA K+D+CAN works with DIS SSS like GT1

instead. Please let me know - greatly appreciate it.

Question? Did you perform a tcu retrofit or are you still using the one in your car because my car is an 04 and the tcu in my car wasn't setup for Bluetooth they really only started putting them in after 05

It's the inital one that came with the car - 2004 e60 525d , with prof. phone factory installed in the arm rest... Update when I set TELEFON_TYPE_C08 to say ece_phone on idrive it will pair but on the comunnication menu it says "Insert Sim Card" what are the other variables for TELEFON_TYPE_C08 ?

Ece_phone is the command for European phones change it back to what it says on my original post also try to make the change I made in post 27 to the Cappl however I'm still a little worried that you don't have a bt tcu and that could be the final reasons behind your issues because 04 was a very hard year
