It's more than likely you will need a newer bt enabled tcu I got mine off of eBay. Then just swap it with the one you have in your trunk. After that you will need coding done, dealers probably won't do it but you can always still ask or you can pay someone from the forum to do it or learn to code yourself. I tell everyone it's easy but not easy if you want it badly enough you can Buy the cable download the software read through a pile of threads and slowly but surely learn how to do it we posted the coding instruction for both cars with and without nav right on this thread. Good luck if you want a starting point about learning how to use the coding software head over bmwcoding.com and read the beginners lounge.

I have recently bought a second hand bluetooth TCU, and am now trying to add +k633 ,$639 and $605 to the VO (via NCS Expert)

Whenever I attempt to do so, I am met with the following error message:

ERROR! Modul: CVT_PROC.C, ProcNr: 02, LineNr: 10, ErrorNr: 106.
TELEFON_TYPE_APP

ERROR! Modul: COAPI.CPP, Proc: coapiGetFswPswFromAsw, LineNr: 02, ErrorNr: 1000
COAPI-1000: error

Has anyone experienced such an error before? I have an 08/04 E60 525i with CCC Professional Nav

Steps to replicate error:
1. Load Expertmode profile in NCS Expert
2. Select CHASSIS (F2) and then E60
3. Select VIN/ZCS/FA (F1)
4. Select ZCS/FA f. ECU (F3) and select CAS
5. Select Enter FA (F2) and select E60. VIN number then prepopulates
6. Add +k633 into the Attribute field (the CHASIS field is already prepopulated with the value E60_)
7. Select OK
8. Select Back (F6) and error message appears

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

EDIT: If it makes any difference, I previously had an aftermarket bluetooth module installed, however when clicking the Communications Tab within my iDrive, a "Telephone from other manufacturer installed" message appears.

More on the hardware side of things, this is what I have going on in the trunk of my 03/04 E60. Is this all that is needed to hook up the BT TCU?

The TCU is located underneath the wheel well cover in the trunk, to the right of your DSC1175 pic, in my car (with TCU) that purple plug you are showing is connected.

My 04/04 530i Aus delivered, so Euro spec, Doesnt have the bigger TCU, it has a smaller one laying flat next the storage box.
Even though it falls into that prod date range, it doesnt seem to have the BT TCU.
I checked the VIN and it says Preparation f tel.installation universal and preperation of Voice input system.
It has nav proffesional
Can anyone offer some guidance??
