When is the new 7 going to be introduced? I've been hearing '09 -- will it be intro'd in early '08 as an '09 model?

As for the folks that suggested the Mercedes S550 -- I like the styling on the car, but (a) the S550 just *looks* too big. While the 750i is a full size car, it doesn't look quite so big. And, the other problem with the Mercedes is my experience with my E500 (I owned one before moving to BMW). Mercedes bought back my first one because it had so many problems. The 2nd one was better - but still was at the dealer far more than it should have been. Any time I speak with anyone who owns a Mercedes, the first thing they mention is how often it's in the shop -- can't see going with a Mercedes.

I drove an '06 750i sport this weekend - and am very surprised at the handling and performance. I expected it to be much less agile --- while it wasn't as tight as the 550, it took the curves much better (and tighter) than I expected. However, I do love the torque and performance of the 550. And the 08 550 is a bit smoother than the 06-07's. I'm back to leaning towards the 550 -- but that will probably change 5 more times before I buy a car

THE 550i i recommend matey, its better on fuel, new gen engine, plus the E65 7er is going to cahnged very soon, sooner then the E60, So you have a newer car, plus an probs, all the E60.net members can always help you out.

Hope you make the right choice, have you considered the 535d or 530d, unless you in the USA, then i dont think diesil is coming ther til next year i think.

Thanks for all the comments. I am definitely leaning towards the 550. I'm already driving an '06 - and while the 750 is a great car, I just think I'd miss the torque, handling and performance of the 550. I haven't driven the 535 - will do that, but I've found that after driving a V8 it's tough to go with anything else!
