any updates on this kit? i found this diy.on bimmerfest...... http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/showthrea...ight=m6+shifter its for a z4 but i supose it is the same wiring.?

can someone post the bimmerfest one here? i can't get onto bimmerfest anymore lol once i have a look at it, i can go tough the wiring diagrams and post it here for the 6

No need for the 6er wiring diagram, along with the guys at AW-ind wanting a test 6er.

its the exact same as a 5er etc

My Kit was ment for a 5er and was plug and play

Schulrog... I expect yours done for Christmas

i have 1 concern.. and that is.. how do you release the park-lock? you know when you have to step on the break and push the little lever on the shiftknob to release the shifter. i don't think the SMG has that.

Just use the break to release it out of park now no need to press the button

I don't really want this mod myself but if you guys are interested, I'll order the shifter from BMW tomorrow and see how it goes. I do need some guarantees that someone will at least take the one i'll make so I can recover the cost of this thing. I'll figure it out

Opinion needed!!!

So on the SMG shifter there is no P. What would you guys prefer?

1. P and N illuminates N on the SMG shiftknob
2. P doesn't illuminate anything on the SMG shiftknob and only N illuminates N on the SMG shiftknob
