Mike6auto and I received an email from Alex at AW Industries. He wants a list of the people who would actually purchase the kit for the E63/E64 (the E90 wiring harness is $75) /shifter (wiring harness with brand, new shifter is $315 for the E90) and he's also looking for a 6 in the Bay Area to be the test fit vehicle. I've also asked Alex if there's a possibility of group buy and I'm waiting to hear from him.

Please let me know if you would actually pay for this upgrade and please let me know if you would be looking for the wiring harness or if you'd be looking for the kit with the shifter.

Alex is looking at a non-M version. If you look on the bottom row, right, you'll see the non-M option on the aw site. As far as removing the M, I don't believe that is possible.

actually, this should be the same concept as adding buttons as paddle shifters to a steering wheel. all you need to do is re-route the current singals from the existing display in the center console to the new one. looking into the wiring diagrams should make clear which ones to use and make a fairly simple DIY

Yes it plugs inline with the LED part of the Shifter surround... It uses resistors and what not. Very simple, I expect it done by monday
