lol of course. using sport mode makes your engine stay in a lower gear and holds shifts longer. if your trying to get the most mpg, sports mode is a bad bad idea
thats what I thought lol ,But Louie is getting better mpg with sport mode on.

This may seem like an odd suggestion, but ... get a SprintBooster.
When I got one for my 550i, my city mileage went up nearly 1 mpg. Why? I guess the SB brings out more of the dual personality of the V8 (smooth Jekyll versus manic Hyde), so I found myself feathering the throttle more around town (to keep Mr. Hyde at bay). Hence, my mileage went up.
Besides, the SB is a blast to have on that engine. The engine is more responsive and the tranny shifts better.

My Ride: 2008 528i 6MT, Sport Pkg, Prem Pkg, sprint booster, ram air, BMC filter.
drop some weight. my stock exhaust and stock wheels totaled up to 48 lbs of excess weight. the rpi exhaust and the miro's were much lighter than my stock setup.
