Hey guys i did a test with my 6 for about 1 week i drove about 70-80mph highway and 30-40mph on street. I was getting about 22-24 MPG :wow: driving on SPORTS mode. better compared to driving with out sports and getting less than 20 mpg. Anyways i wanted to increase mpg by adding mods like an air filter or a better intake ( i have stock diffusers atm) Do you guys have any suggestions on what to add on my car? to increase MPG? What kind of Air Filter or What kind of Intake? :help:

I would clean the MAF first, then drop in a BMC high flow filter coupled with an RPi Scoop (not sure if they are available for 6er).

If you go with an cold air intake you will lose power due to the heat soak and perhaps gas mileage. I would suggest keeping the stock air box, using a BMC drop in filter, and adding the Race Precision ram air scoops. When I added mine, i noticed some good top end power and slightly better gas mileage. Try calling Eloy @ RPi 562-630-5966 or visiting Raceprecision.com. mention my name, David, and Eloy will give you all the information you need regarding heat soak. |

Good Luck

Sports mode should be eating more gas!?

I added a KN drop in filter, removed the charcoal filter and noticed I got more KM's out of the tank. Adding the exhaust I noticed a decrease in KMS lol

i was thinking a Drop in filter.. i already removed the charcoal filter i think im getting as much as i can out of the tank. But yo try driving your car in SPORTS mode just for 1 day... and see the difference with the MPG. because ever since i am doing sports mode on my car i use turn it on daily.

They do make them. I have one in my 6 along with the BMC filter.

lol of course. using sport mode makes your engine stay in a lower gear and holds shifts longer. if your trying to get the most mpg, sports mode is a bad bad idea

Check Raceprecision.com. RPi makes scoops for all 5 and 6 series.
