I have a 6 coupe (E63) 645i (2003) with the professional DVD sat nav system on the i drive controller. Can you tell me if the DVD player is a Mark IV version and if so how you access the service menu (a hidden from view menu with extra options) - I want to check to see which version the operating system is in this model as I'm thinking about an upgrade to make use of the perspective/birds eye view on the maps. I have a 2006-2 Europe DVD but I think I need a software upgrade as well (V27 has been mentioned elsewhere).

iDrive systems are not Mark IV systems.
To get perspective view, you need a CIP software upgrade and only the dealer can do it for you...
