My Ride: 2005 545i SMG. Titanium Grey with Grey interior and Anthracite wood.
BMW bought back my 2005 545 SMG and I replaced it with another 2005 545 SMG with NO regrets. My new car hasn't had one problem. Knock on wood.
It is interesting, that BMW is stepping up to the plate and fixing the problem, and yet I continue to here people use this basis for leaving the BMW brand. Imagine if BMW said screw you and you ate it. That would be a reason to leave. I bought my first car knowing I was buying the best and latest technology. I assumed I would have some problems, the fact that BMW treated me so well was the reason to believe in them. Moving to a substandard vehicle because of a buy back is a mistake in my book.

Thanks for the reply guys I guess the dealer? misled me
they said the car is over 4k pounds, is slower than the 545i and feels very heavy.
I need to drive one ASAP, any suggestions on how to get a test drive on one?
I have no specs or bothered to look it up thats why I asked firshand impressions.
I like the car and best bet is i can have Red Leather Seats.
I think White with Red will look HOW, 20' Radenengie wheels in Silver and its done.

But yes "Red" with just about any of the exterior colors is really nice. White, Black or the silvers go really well.
At +4k pounds; that is the Cabrio + 400 pounds over the coupe. The dealer has confused the two.
On another note - The exhaust sound - much more throaty in the 6er - just love the cool days when I have the window down and vvvvvrrrrrrrooooooommmmmm
