Maybe I'm a little slow, but I get everything except the bottom pic. I guess that's the "coil" you keep referring to. Can you elaborate a little more on what you did there?

Well since I had the optional heated steering wheel and didn't want to lose that option, I had to fabricate 2 extra pins in the coilspring. To do this i used the existing 2 bands that are used for the heated steering wheel and from each took the top row of conductors which i seperated on each side. Basically just made 2 seperate connections from one side to the other by modding the bands attached to the original pins make sense?

Not really BUT, since I don't have the heated steering wheel option, what kind of mods (if any) will I need to make to my coilspring? Honestly, I haven't taken my steering wheel apart yet (still waiting to receive my new one with the paddle shifters), so I'm just trying to get an idea of what's in store for me when I do.

Then it's real easy I think... Since you don't have the heated steering wheel i'm not 100% sure but if you still have the 2 pins on the right you just use those 2 pins and add the pins in the red circle to the coil spring and you're set You have to clip the 2 pins on the botton of the coilspring where it would connect to the steering column to make sure there's no connection made anymore. those are only used for the steering wheel heater

Alrigty guys.. I finally figured out the cost for all the parts etc. and was pretty surprised.

If you got all the necessary parts to do this from BMW including the coil spring at retail price, you would pay 362.24USD. YES! That is JUST the parts.
