The BMW i8 has been with us for a year and a bit, and now there’s a new Protonic Red special edition that’s about to strut into the public eye at this year’s Geneva Motor Show.

BMW has been tickling around with the idea of fuel-cell cars for quite some time now. That technology appears to be closer with more leaked photos of a new BMW fuel cell car.

Because the i8 didn’t already look cool enough, BMW decided the car needed a fresh restyling in order to test out its newest drivetrain: Hydrogen.
