Auto Express recently pitted the two BMW mid-engine supercars against one another on a track and here’s how things went down.

According to Automobile Magazine, BMW is developing a performance version of the i8 potentially dubbed the i8S, although it may be called the Mi8 or i8M to keep with BMW’s performance tradition.

What you are drooling over is a custom BMW i8 created by German Special Customs. The outfit plans on building this one-off BMW with a brand-new body kit that honestly makes this one of the coolest cars I’ve ever seen.

The BMW i8’s configurator is the exact same configurator as the 2 Series Active Tourer, which kind of makes the experience a bit of a wet blanket.

Any time a BMW goes racing is a good time. The marque is so deeply ingrained in motorsports that you really can’t talk about any form of motorsports without at least mentioning BMW.
