Last BMW M5 30 Jahre Edition Sold
A few months ago, BMW introduced us to the BMW M5 30 Jahre Edition. It is, by company standards, the most powerful M5 BMW has ever built. With over 592 horsepower, and 516lb-ft of torque, the sedan gets up to 60 in just 3.9 seconds, and hits the electronically limited top speed of 155mph shortly after that.
The 30 Jahre Edition also received a Dark Frozen Silver paint, black chrome accents, a competition pack, and a bunch of 30 Jahre M5 logos all around the car. Only 300 limited editions were ever made, and now, the final one just sold at auction for $700,000.
The last 30 Jahre Edition M5 was sold at last week’s Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale, Arizona. Sadly, this last car isn’t going to a home where it will be driven like the powerhouse it is, but rather to a museum to be parked alongside an i8.
I just can’t stand to watch a car suffer like that.
