F10 M5 vs F82 M4: Which Will Become the Highlander?
The new F10 M5 and the new F82 M4 are perhaps some of the best BMW M Models ever to come out of the company. Between the twin-turbocharged V8 in the M5 and the twin-turbocharged inline six-cylinder in the M4, the two have a combined output of 995 horsepower. We’re talking serious levels of performance. But how do their respective performance specs compare to one another?
In the video below, we have the F10 M5 going head to head against an F82 M4 in a rolling drag race. The M5 is the bruiser of the two with more horsepower and more weight to throw around, but you can’t discount the lighter, more nimble M4.
So, what do you all reckon is going to happen? Will the heavier, but more powerful M5 win? Or will the almost 1,000-pound lighter M4 win? Personally speaking, after driving around in the M3 for the past week, I’d find it difficult to fathom the M4 getting left in the dust.
