2006 550i crank no start
The car cranks but will not fire up. Battery was replaced and this time I upgraded to the Interstate AGM type of battery. I registered the battery using my foxwell scan tool. The car would start after the battery was changed but ran rough to the point it couldn't be driven. Scan found faults for cam position sensor and the valvetronic eccentric shaft sensor, I replaced it and they no longer show fault codes. The car will crank just fine but refuses to fire up. Fuel pressure test with a gauge and it is within required range and when I pull the plugs they are wet with gas. I checked fuses in the e-box where the wiring harness plugs in and those are fine. Checked fuses behind the glove box, no problems there. I checked fuses in the trunk, no problems there either. I unplugged the MAF sensor to see if it would make a difference and it still won't start up. I installed ISTA and got it to work after a few days screwing with the files etc. The control unit tree shows very little and doesn't fully populate, screen shot is attached. The fault codes show no communication possible to many components, screen shot attached. I'm wondering where to go from this point is this a CAS / DME sync situation or what would prevent the signal to fire the spark plugs. I used the foxwell scan tool again and it shows 2 faults, 93A8 drivers airbag stage 1 and 93B4 drivers airbag stage 2. Would these 2 faults alone cause a crank no start condition or am I looking at much bigger problems? Any ideas or suggestions on where to go from here are appreciated, thank you for your time.

I just scanned it again. The only 2 faults detected in the scan are 93A8 drivers airbag stage 1 and 93B4 drivers airbag stage 2. Would this alone cause the car not to start?

Foxwell NT530 with BMW software. It's a cheap $160 scanner I know I need something that can do more hopefully there's something under $500. I have INPA installed but I have to translate all the menus from German to English to use it. ISTA was the way to go I thought but the install or database is not working right it's not reading the car correctly based on the attached screen shots I attached.

The OBDII detects no faults the MIL status is off. The BMW section is where it detects the drivers airbag stage 1 & 2. I'm not very confident in the ISTA installation I have because it's not communicating correctly. I had an old install of ISTA once and it showed the entire control unit tree with options. I'm going to look online for a different copy of ISTA and see if I get a different result unless there's something else the foxwell can do that I'm not seeing. I just know it's not getting spark for some reason and I also know from experience that the dumbest little things will prevent these cars from starting do you think that airbag fault would cause it not to start?

Airbag fault does not prevent start. I don't see anything wrong with your ISTA. I do see something wrong with the cable and/or settings. When you partially pull up tree that's what it's telling you. Either you got the wrong cable or you need to move the switch if you have one. The other issue might just be your settings
