Just a quick update. I got the mirrors about a week ago and they are at my body shop getting a fresh coat of paint as we speak. I hope to pick them up in a few days and have the install completed. I'll post pics once I'm done. My LCI Tail lights also just arrived so lots of BMW stuff to do this weekend.

NVD,
Thanks again for the mirrors and great customer support. I finally got around to getting them painted and I put aside some time to install them tonight. Now my car has definite curb-appeal!!

If anyone is interested, I started a new thread with a few more details of the install and also a few more pics. Here's the link:

Cheers!

I chose the carbon fiber version and I'm really happy I did. It came out really great.

And you bought them already! LOL, I considered doing these when another member was selling them at a great price, but I looked over the install PDF, and thought "aww f', have to remove door panel" so I passed on it.

There's a PDF somewhere, I will try to find it if someone don't beat me to it.

Howie,
Got your message. I did my own post detailing my experiences with this install. It includes some steps and pics. Also within the thread is another link from a member with a PDC doc how/to. Check it out here:

https://5series.net/forums/topic/101...&#entry1206022

If you have any questions don't hesitate to post in the thread. Once you get a grasp of what needs to be done it's not a bad install at all.

Cheers!

How do you get them to fold?

Do you instal an extra switch or you can wire it into a pre-existing switch?

I have seen the manual fold option on a 1 series and noticed there is a "special" button which you press for them to fold or un-fold.
