It doesn't matter. The DRL function won't be available more after you install HID.
The brightness on angel eyes will be the same because the HID ballast receive 12V everytime with that relay connected. So when you use parking lights for example , the voltage won't be ~4V anymore so that the brightness to be lower.
In conclusion DRL and parking light brightness become the same.

A better choice instead using that relay shall be coding via NCS.

There are too many wires,boxes there. It's so annoying. After that you have to take care of all that wires spread all over the engine

Hey John, I'm interested I'm a set of these, I have an '08 LCI and would like more guidance on the install. Do you have a PDF file or document that we could have for step by step instructions? I'm no dummy but when it comes to car installations and what not....a 5 minute project turns into an hour long ordeal including words not suitable for children. Thanks in advance

So the install went fairly smoothly and the results are in. DEFINATELY worth the upgrade...huge difference in just full sunlight. I can only imagine what they will look like at dusk or dawn!!!!Thanks John!

Pics were taken on same day about an hour and a half apart (FYI)

Hi John, I want to stop by your shop on Saturday, I got sum work done on my 05' 545i at your shop on November you did the AE's Mtec V3's, HID headlight bulbs, HID fog lights, ultimate interior LEDs and my favorite MTEC license plate light (extremely bright) also Leo did the Hydralic pump on my SMG tranny. I just sold my car to a good friend and picked up a 2009 550i... sooo ... it's time to start all over! also want to bring my friend along cause he's wants to start modifying his new E60!
