Today, DHL delivered my E61 LCI v.6 retrofit cables from Bruce Miranda!
Originally, I ordered v.5 in early April, but Bruce kindly offered me the option to wait a few weeks, and then get the new v.6 cables that he was working on. Thankfully, I decided to wait - v.6 looks so good that it is a shame to have hide them! These look exactly like any other BMW part that you find in your trunk (boot), and they are beautiful.
Forum member ArneR from Norway (and a brave soul!) recently installed v.5 cables in his E61, so if you would like to get an idea of what is required to install these, check out his excellent DIY thread:

I am still in the process of ordering lights (prices requested from several sources in the EU), and I hope to have that covered later this month.
In the mean time, here are some pics of what Bruce's v.6 E61 LCI retrofit cables look like.

The cables look fantastic, and obviously well worth the wait. I have a set on order from Bruce as well, which I am hoping to get early next week. I can't wait to get them installed. I have bought a set of the outer body lights via e-bay, but I am struggling to find the inner lights at a reaonable price.

Bruce's cables are gems. You won't be disappointed!
I will buy the lights in one set (all four lights) and the price will be about 610-640 Euros.
Direct from the dealership, it can be 850-1100 Euros, depending on which country you buy from and how connected you are.
For the rear door, you need:
- 63 21 7 177 697 (E61 LCI LED light in the rear door)
- 63 21 7 177 698 (E61 LCI LED light in the rear door)
And unless you find them somewhere special (eBay, breaker yard, etc.), they will cost about 175-200 Euros EACH, new. Send me a PM if you need help with this - there are several options.
Anyway, E60 guys have it much easier on the wallet with this upgrade!
Good luck with your search and post your installation results - with pics.

The cables look great! I have a set on order as part of the group buy. My lights should be here tomorrow so I will be counting the hours waiting for my set to make it across the Atlantic...

Thank you for your help with the part numbers. The OEM lights are ?154.00 each from BMW, so you are correct it is an expensive mod when compared to the E60. The dealer has hinted that he may give a discount, but that it would be small because it isn't a stocked part. I haven't had much luck finding another source for them so far, I may have to bite the bullet.
