So I have a 12" thumper in my trunk but the GD firewall is so BMW-tastc there is no air-passthrough whatsoever - the only audio I pick up is the vibration left over from the entire car shaking when the sub hits.

So I'm planning on cutting the ski bag passthrough hole but Im noticing the writeups where people are having success these people are typically professional installers and are customizing a lot of parts that are visible.

My Question is for anyone who has any idea but looking at this website:
http://parts.bmwofsouthatlanta.com/s...ssembly=422912
it seems like I can get my hands on the stock trim pieces and even buy the ski bag door to add on if I decide to sell her. Is this accurate? will these pieces allow me to install a very stock looking ski bag option?

I would LOVE to use official BMW trim and make the install look as stock as possible but are these pieces I'll be able to add if I cut a hole or is there a different firewall setup for the ski bag option

Also interested in this option using OEM BMW parts.

I too am looking to do this. I went to a couple High end stereo shops, where they too have done this. The installers told me that they just cut out the plastic, probably with a DREMEL. I dont have the tools or expertise to try it. I am going to BMW today, maybe I'll price out the parts you show on the link and see how expensive those are. One installer told me that he'd probably charge $100 to make the cutout.

That would be great! thank you! i guess the biggest part of my question is -
If i cut a hole in my firewall will i be able to use those OEM trim pieces? or are there some special screw holes or contours or whatever on the ski bag backseats that would make a clean install impossible or improbable? or if i just cut a hole can i slap those trim pieces on either side of it no problem?

Any success...
Exactly the same boat .. I made some room below the rear speakers, but didnt really help.. will have to take out ski pass sooner or later ..
Did you get some part from BMW.. only thing I am concerned about is the looks from inside... I believe OEM part would have some soft later covering on top of the hole??
Please let me know.
Thanks.
