Hey everyone,

I know that this topic has been covered a million times already but, for some reason the search feature won't allow me to search for terms such as "m5" because it says that its too short of a phrase and to try different keywords. So with that being said, I have a few quick questions and if someone could point me in the right direction i would be more than grateful!

Ok now i have non lci e60 and Im looking to purchase a oem m5 rear bumper...i found a good deal on a used one but it doesn't cone with that Lil peice that goes in the middle diffuser area...where can i order these peice and what is it called?....Also is the oem m5 bumper plug and play on my e60? Any help would be highly appreciated thanks in advance

Well, there is something wrong with your post. The OEM M5 rear bumper does fit the non-M E60 - I know I have one. However, there is no piece in the middle that is replaceable on the M5 rear bumper. You are thinking of the M-Tech rear bumper which does have an interchangeable diffuser. In which case there are many vendors that offer replacement diffusers (member DBae1978 has a good one for sale right now, you can PM him).

Pijinca I think he is talking about this piece of the M5 rear where the diffuser goes. I believe it's #14 or #15 on the first photo. Then you also need #6 of the M rear bumper. Hope this helps you get a better understanding wi8123. The piece #14 and #15 from photo 1 attaches to piece #6 on photo 2.

You can order these parts from Tischer BMW or Garry at Newport BMW.

#6 Reinforcement, lower center Part# 51127896846
#14 Guide, bottom center Part# 51127896847
#15 Guide, bottom center Part# 51127898123

I just drilled holes thru 14/15 into the spare tire compartment. I would remove tire in case puncturing the spare tire. Then after putting a bolt thru the hole I secured it with an nut.You don't need a really big bolt, so just find something that will hold it.

Ok my answer may not be very clear, but just drill holes thru the remaining ones you need to hold that piece on then your good to go.
