Everyone,
I'm thankful I survived a near head-on collision with an impaired/distracted driver last night. I managed to veer away from the oncoming headlights at the last second, and suffered a hard impact blow down the entire driver's side of my car. Amazingly, my front bumper, front quarter panel and rear bumper were relatively unscathed.

I turned around to see what happened to the other driver, but he/she was nowhere to be found...
Police came and said I was lucky it wasn't any worse. I'm feeling sore, but blessed to be able to walk away from the accident. Glad I hadn't picked up my kids from school yet!
What do you suggest I do with this in the body shop for the estimate tomorrow? Since I have to replace one side skirt anyway, I thought I'd consider other options. Rieger? M Aero? M-Tech? What material should I stay away from (urethane/polyurethane)? Looking at BMW certified collision center to do the best work...

I don't know anything about body kits - just sorry to hear about the accident and glad you're okay! That sucks

OUCH! Sorry to hear about your accident but fortunately escaped without harm. It's the time of year when holiday drinkers and distracted drivers out there! It would seem the damage is only skin deep - fortunate that BMWs are as nimble as they are and permitted you to steer away from a more harmful head-on collision!
You're right on about going to a BMW certified body shop! They'll make it good for you whether you decide on doing any additional mods along the way.
Happy Thanksgiving!
