When you disconnect the battery, are all the settings saved when you re-connect it? Should I record all the service numbers( break pads, oil, etc...) before disconnecting it?
Do I have to re-initialize anything after reconnecting the battery such as the steering angle sensor, etc....?
Thanks!

You will need to reset active steering for sure. I believe you turn the wheel all the way to the left, then all the way to the right and center and it should reset.

I disconnected the negative on the battery for about fifteen minutes, on Saturday and apart from the clock reset that was it, active steering was okay. Must only need resetting if the battery is disconnected for a longer period as when I changed the battery recently.

might as well do it, although it might not be necessary.

Thanks guys! I'm hoping and planning on installing a BMS Power Box this weekend. I emailed Burgertuning and they recommend disconnecting the battery even though others didn't. I just want to play it safe.

My Ride: 08 550 Carbon Sport Almost everything factory, but no sound upgrades.
IMO the wheel right-wheel right business is not necessary to reset active steering. I have found it to reset itself in about 30 seconds of driving.
