Carbon, its looks like the rolling distance difference front to back is greater than the nominal (theoretical) 1% you calculated. You mentioned that the front tires (or was that the rear) were worn, so that might make the original difference of 1% greater, therefore causing the shudder. Try measuring the circumference and see.

I'm starting to think this is an offset issue. Ive seen a few people now saying xdrive models need 30-45mm offset like ABCarr mentioned and I guess I'm understanding why they say that now. I cannot find a single person who ran these m5 wheels on an e60 xdrive.
Since the car drives perfectly fine with my old 245/45R18 square setup, the problem must be something with the wheels. I'm thinking about dropping by a bmw dealership and asking them if e60 m5 wheels can work on e60 xdrive cars. Seems like my only option to confirm if it can be done or not.

Wheels with too high an offset can be fixed with spacers. Wheels with too low an offset are SOL -- you have to roll the fenders to keep them from rubbing.

P.S. That's why I'm running reps on my xi car.

With good reason. Basically, the lower the offset number, the more the wheel sticks out. E60 M5 rims (Style 166) have ET 12 front and ET 28 rear offsets. Rims with too low an offset can cause troubles with the outside edge of the tire rubbing on the fender or wheel well.
