E60 Alloy Wheel Refurb Glasgow WARNING
Hi
WARNING for all those who are thinking about getting their wheels refurb'd in Glasgow
My alloys have been showing their age for a while now (corrosion/oxide - no kerbing) so I decided to get them refurbished.
After much searching around I decided on "The Wheel Specialist" as they guarantee their work and promise near perfect results. They have been up and running since 1992 and are the UKs largest wheel refurb' company.
So I booked myself in and off I went.
On collecting my car I found that they had simply "painted over" the aforementioned corrosion and not done what they had claimed.
To add insult to injury they also charged £40 more for "bmw" silver ! Do they fly the paint in from Germany ? I think not !
Basically the wheels looked they have just been cleaned and painted a slightly darker shade !
I am still in the process of sorting all this out but I just wanted to warn anyone out there wanting to get their wheels refurbished.
SO in short... AVOID THE WHEEL SPECIALIST, GLASGOW SOUTH.

My Ride: F10, pro nav, auto,
Heres a couple of pics.
I must admit they don't look too bad in the photos but in real life it is much much worse....
If you look closely you can see some of the coating is starting to come off after just a few days without me driving the car (been away with work).
