Wheels for E60
Does anybody have any information about the wheels on the E60. Do wheels from any other BMW fit, or does the E60 have a totally separate set of wheels? Has anyone seen if there are E60 wheels out from other manufacturers as well?

I have been told that wheels for E39 fit E60 - technically.
[I hope that this is true, as I have purchased both sets of wheels for my upcoming 530d based on this info]

I think e39 wheels will fit. I don't think the wheel hub size is different in on the e60. My guess is the reason dealers say they don't fit is because the new run flat tires on e60 requires special wheels. So if you use the older e39 wheels, you can't use run flat tires. But if you don't care about run flat tires, I am sure you can use the older e39 wheels, or other third party wheels, as long as the hub size is the same.

Did this information come from BMW? What do you mean by technically?
I am ordering a 545i 6sp which comes with 18s on it. I have a set of 17x8" E46 3-series wheels (style 47 - click here for the BMW wheels pix) that I want to use as snow tires. They should fit, right?
