20s on my e60
#1
Hi guys. I was planning on putting some 20s on my 530i but was not too sure about dropping the car. If you guys can please post some pics of other 360s with 20s that are NOT dropped. And anyone who can better inform me about dropping the car, your help will be appreciated too. Thanks

Thanks. I thought it would have a much bigger gap before the drop but it doesnt look bad at all. I think I might go for it. How much were your coilovers? And what tire size are do you have on? Nice set up btw.

Just be aware that putting 20's on that car will reduce performance. Handling, ride and acceleration.

Don't go with 20's. Get yourself a nice light wide set of forged 19''s. 9 in front and 10.5 in back for staggered. You'll hate the 20's when you realize how shitty the drive feels.

That's what I'm scared of. It's a Beamer. The suspension and the ride is the best. I don't want to ruin that. But at the same time I really want some 3 piece rims with a white face and a chrome lip since my car is white. I have seen it on other beamers and it looks very clean.

My Ride: 2008 550I LOADED, all options except HUD and NV
This is the perfect forum to get info on this, even though the question has been asked ad nauseum. The vast majority of members here have some sort of drop ( springs or coilovers). I have 20s and with my tire setup I have noticed no perceptable worsening of the ride as opposed to the 3 sets of 19s I had before. Then again I am running lightweight forged 20s which don't weigh much more, if at all, than the OEM 125s and 172s I used to have. I am running 245/35/20 fronts with 275/30/20 rears so there is more meat on my tires than is recommended, but I am still within 3% rolling diameter.
Btw, I vote against the white wheels on a white car, that hasn't looked good since the 80s on "Spencer for hire"
