Default 2007 530i tires

Hi everyone, just joined 5series.net, I'm new with BMWs, just bought a 2007 530i and my son just bought a 2009 328ix coupe. My question is, I have right now 245/40/18 front and rear in my 530i and I would like to go slightly bigger to 255/40/18 front and rear, is this possible? Also I'll like the car to look slightly taller on the rear, I like to keep it the way my car looks on these 2 pictures, slightly taller, would this work? Thanks....

First of all, to the forum! Going a size larger in width all around should not be a problem, but how do you propose lifting the rear? You don't want to compromise handling for the sake of cosmetics.

I'm not lifting it in any way, just want it to look like it's a bit taller in rear, like the car is now, hopefully it looks the same with slightly wider tires. Any issues with handling, performance or rubbing using 255/40/18 front and rear? Thanks..

did you get any scrub issues on the front tyres? Rears were designed to take a 275 so should be no issues there

I'd be interested in those 18" wheels you currently have on there if you decide to go with something different. I'm in PA too so it would be cheap to ship or to meet halfway. Your car looks great.
