Why do I have a negative one message?

Has happened before to others.
It will be corrected by the software in a couple minutes.
It could be that you have read a short message in the pop up window and deleted it from the inbox before opening it, since you allready read the message in the pop up window. This would cause a -1 count. Could also be a deleted message that was removed from your inbox by the sender before you read it.
In any case, nothing to worry about, it will be "0 new messages" again shortly.

Unfortunately I have no answer for you. I looked through the database directly for this -1 value for your account id and couldn't find anything so somehow the software is calculating this based on other variables which I don't know about.
