Guys, I am by no means a tech person, thus my issue. I have uploaded photos to my control page and for posting. However, I can't seem to get a photo placed in my avatar (I believe the left hand bar under my user name) or with my signature. The files are about 2mb. Can someone please advise this less skilled member on how to do this assumed simple task?

Thanks

There is a limit for file size and pic dimensions.

If you can't upload them you need to resize them and make them smaller.

Iceman,

Thanks for the response and forgive me for asking, but how do I resize an existing file? If I am completely clueless on this procedure I appreciate your patience in advance.

Thanks

There are image resizers you can download. Just google "photo or image resizer" and you'll see all the tools that are avail for download.

PS - sol - You see there's an M5/MB AMG meet this Sunday? I just posted a new thread about it. Try and make it.

ATS77 posted this link somewhen earlier.
I use MS Photo Editor, which was included in my Office software.

Once the file size is small enough to get uploaded to our forum, the boards software will do the resize on the avatar and for the thumbs in your posts.
The only problem is, if the size is too big, the upload fails, so the boards software can't resize anything.

Looked through the thread and no one mentioned that the avatar can only be a maximum size of 15kb.
