Where did you read/learn this? AFAIK, I thought it was clear that no matter what we do, a scammer can (and will) find a way to defeat the system. I thought that was pretty clear in the link you posted...

***edit...just ran about 10 pages of Iceman's post's...no mention of what i THOUGHT i saw....my apolgies Rudy (and Iceman, Lomag, Das)

I think you're confusing the vendor issue with the hint that some consideration is being given to a 7 series sub-forum of some sort... (again, I'm making no promises, just trying to keep things clear! )

Lomag has been thinking about doing this (classifieds posting only for members with a certain post count), allthough it would not prevent a scam...

I don't know if the "post count" would be a proper determination if used as a standalone evaluation.
I have only about 30 posts, yet I have been a member since June 2006.
I mostly just lurk and absorb all the info here like a sponge.
It would take me 5-7 more years to reach 150 posts !

Best way to beat scammers is to just not buy from anyone on the forum. To tell you the truth,
the Quad_M issue has soured my outlook on this forum and anyone trying to sell things to me
is looked up upon with extreme caution. Fool me once... but I'll be damned if I let that happen
to me again. Oh yeah, and f**k you, Zamer Tamer! You'll be running into me very soon in
Miami... count on that.
On with the topic at hand: post count won't help. Look at some of the vendors in here with the
single word replies -- 150 posts would probably take only a week for them....

It's just a preventative measure to warn off scammers. If someone really wants to scam us, i'm sure they'll find a way no matter what. Either way it was just a suggestion....
