Default BMW e60 light package retrofit

Hello guys I’m new to this forum and sorry for my English. I have an e60 2004 model the production is 2003 so it’s one of the earliest models. I want to retrofit the extended light package and specifically the orange amber lights in the door handles. I have read a bunch of information but I can’t figure it out. Some say that you have to connect them to the window switch and some others say that you can connect the lights direct to the door module. My car have the door module so is this plug and play? Also is there a chance that bmw actually left a connector to plug them without any modifications? Thanks

Your best bet is to find the door wiring diagram.

I grabbed a set of the interior panels and door harnesses for a retrofit on my E61.

There will be a connector in the door that the wiring might be in. Otherwise your best bet is the light and ground wire from the window switches; that way they will turn on and off when the rest of the interior stuff is on and not 100% of the time
