Fuel consumption serious issue help please
Hi Guys and gals.
I need some help/advice please. I have a pre-lci e61 525d and my consumption is ridiculous. I get on average 12mpg! I’ve recently changed both stats, the manifold, refurbished the turbo, used the injector cleaner, checked the injectors on ista d and they’re all fine, ran the diagnostics no errors and I have tried disconnecting the maf to run on default values and the consumption was higher.
Can anyone please suggest anything else I can try to increase the consumption to normal level?

If you can use ISTA to get some additional information it would help.
How long since the last regen (shown in metres) and back pressure values. This will help with determining the state of the DPF.
Also what is the running temperature after the stat change?
Does the car feel sluggish?
You are using at least twice as much diesel as you should - big clouds of smoke when you drive steady?
