Hey Mike, how do you remove the housing for the license plate lights? I wedged a flathead in the little slot and pushed right and pulled down and I also tried pulling left and then down but it felt like it was going to break. I didn't try too hard since I didn't know what I was doing. But if you could elaborate and also take pictures of what our stock plugs look like, I'd appreciate it. Also, which way do you pull to remove our sidemarkers?

Hey Ryan,
What you have to do is, use the flathead screw driver that we have in our trunk right.
Slide it into the left side of the license plate housing. then use both hands to move it to the right, while holding it to the right, slowly move the flat headscrew driver down, so the housing follows the flathead screwdriver.
and once you get that far, it'll be easy to take out, just slide it out.
As for the side marker, you push the side marked towards the front end / headlights.
So use something that wont scratch ur paint and push the sidemarker forward and then when its pushed foward, slowly pull the sidemarker out, its just like the method of the license plate light.
make sure you dont use ur finger nails... I did twice... and my finger nail hurt for a few days.... hahaha.

Is the method of removal the same from both the right and left side for the license plate lights? Or do you apply force in the opposite direction for each side?

Guys, new development. The part #'s for the plugs may be incorrect. I talked with Garry today and he's gonna give his engineering department a call to confirm and call me back on Monday. Since there's not much activity or interest for the mod here, follow the thread on the E90 forums.

Well I looked up the part #'s on realoem.com for the plug/pins via a warning from one of the E90 guys and I came up with random lighting components for an E30. Garry said those are the numbers showing up on his computer as the correct plugs, but there's a possibility they're subject to change due that BMWNA may not have updated their system. He also said he'd double check to make sure the connectors fit the LED hosuing before shipping them out to me.
Like I said, he's going to call his engineering department to confirm and will be giving me a call back on Monday. Keep you guys posted. Follow the E90 Forum thread for live updates.
