i have XI too, i am looking for 19", dont want to go 20" because i think from OEM 17 to 20, 3 inches will be too much, 18 is too small, so i lock with 19 inches

i have been looking for long time while saving $$, forgestar make light wheels, i like F05 if go with lip, or F14 without lip, dont like step lip which is F10 newest design, i dont have too much $$ to forged wheels

i think you can get 19x8.5 with 35mm offset front and rear
also vertini hennessey looks good too
beyern make wheels only for BMW

please post pictures after you get your wheels

I am selling some new SSR GT3's that should work nice on a X - Model. The wheels are 20x9 with a 40 offset (wheel will stick out the same as 20x8.5 with 35 offset). There might be a chance you will have to roll the front fender, but for the price of these wheels you could can't beat it. Also because of the lip it does tend to make the wheel look smaller that it really is. Here is a link with pics and price : https://5series.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=85208

PM me for any questions.

Oh god...not this question again. Did someone call me?

Gents - Do a search under my screen name and you will find MANY threads about what wheels will work. You can also do staggered. Before I got my M5, I had a tricked out 2007 530xi Sport that had all the bells and whistles you are talking about.

Do a search!

I think, most importantly, some people were curious whether you can really go with 20s safely. Which AFAIK is doable

But C's right (for once ) - he's probably contributed the most to this topic on this entire forum, so you should do a search before posting a thread!

What you save on Wheels will cost 2x as much on tires. 19" tires are more expensive than 20" tires.

Many thanks for suggesting to search your past posts. I've found and bookmarked a few pages regarding 123/124 wheels and the xi. Now I have to find a set

I don't know that the 19s are so much more that it warrants getting the 20s in an area where the roads aren't that good and risk cracked/bent wheels though. Plus, there are usually at least a couple of people in the classifieds selling their OEM 19s on the cheap. So it is a "yes and no" situation, I think.
