Hello all. I am new to the board; recentrly bought an '06 530i E60 and looking for some new rims for it. I've narrowed it down to the 166 or 135 styles (both of which look great). Any advice on where I can get these at a reasonable price? Also, what kind of tire do you recommend for the 166s? Last question, will I have any issues fitting the 166 rims on my 530i?

the offset on 166 is designed for the M5 chassis. It works on the standard chassis but the 9.5" rear will max out a tire size at 275.30.19. Most people dont seem to mind about this; however, the tire barely fits the wheel and up close it appears too small (the protection lip on the tire to prevent curb rash doesnt help etc).

I sold my 166s and went with the 172 - they have the same width; however the offset supports a 285.30.19 tire and seems to fit a little more like the engineers intended.

Both work and I would say it comes down to personal choice.

I think Quad_M can get you 172 wheels for a very good price (that is where I got mine!)
