For sale is a like new 8300 series snap-in adapter. I bought it in June hoping the 8900 would fit it in it (it doesn't) so it has stayed in the box since. I took it out to take these pictures. the 8320 in the first picture is obviously not included in the sale.

Note that to get this to work completely, if your car is not already equipped, you'll need the eject box base plate, part # 84216946075.

Price new was $94 + shipping, I'll sell it for $85 shipped in the US.

Hi,
Does this simply charge the blackberry, or will SMS work with the iDrive as well? From what I understand SMS will only work with snap in adaptors, however I'm not convinced that it will with the blackberry. Bluetooth doesn't work with SMS.

Thanks...
D

basically just charges the phone (via the two contacts at the bottom of the battery cover.) SMS will not work with idrive no matter what here in the US. thank the lawyers.

Does this just snap in or is there some uninstallation of parts to put this in place of it. Does it require dealer software programming?

if your car doesn't have the base plate, you'd need to install that. it's a replacement for the small compartment that flips up in your armrest. install of that is fairly easy, you have to tilt the rear of the armrest up to run a wire and fasten two screws. then this piece I'm selling simply snaps in. no dealer programming is required.
