The 545i honestly didnt need it. THe Dinan STage 2 ECU remap took care of a lot of lag. U CANNOT put it in red mode and drive off the line or tires will be screeching everytime. Green mode is fun. When I was the twisties with the car, I had to turn off the SB V2.

I think urs is V1 though.

 

Didn't know Dinan could remap the ECU on the 545i. How much was it to have it done if you don't mind me asking? Did you have to send your ECU to Dinan? Where in SoCal can we have this done?

Went on the Dinan site and found a bunch shops in OC.

 

yeah i need to find me an un-moded 545i to see what the difference really is! All i know is it handles almost as good as my Z even though it's a lot heavier and it's just as peppy if not more, and the top end is endless!!!!!!! I have only had it up to a 100 ish and even in 5th it sits at 3.5k and drops to 3k in 6th crazy!

o yeah back on topic..... someone buy this before i waste money on something i don't need!

 

It costed $75 for install plus $599 plus tax. I got the 15% rebate from Dinan when I did stage 1. It was $499 then paid the diffference of $100 for the upgrade to Dinan Stage 2
