Hi,

Got a question on the spacers:
Turner site mentions that we may need to shave stock hub lip to ensure no gap between 10mm spacer and wheel hub, because stock lip extends up to 11-12mm.
When you installed your spacers, did you have to shave your stock hub lip?

Thanks...

Hmmm, I see the note on Turner Motorsports page. When I ordered these directly from them, this notice did not exist. I did not have this issue with an oversized hub centric lip on my 550i using these 10mm spacers.

The stock hub has the "hub centric" lip, then the rear rotor slides over leaving a small amount of lip protruding which centers the wheel when mounted or spacer in this case. I believe they're stating that in some instances the remaining lip protruding beyond the brake rotor hat might exceed 10mm so that when the spacer is mounted it would not sit flush with the brake rotor (a very bad thing).

On my 550i these 10mm spacers did in-fact sit flush and I did not encounter this issue. Maybe it applies to models with smaller rear brake rotors where the hub lip protrudes beyond 10mm due to the smaller brake rotor hat(?). Unfortunately they don't really say which models or under what circumstances. If you have a 550i, I would assume these fit (as they did on mine no problem). If you have another model, it's easy to simply remove the rear wheel and measure the amount of protrusion from the hub centric lip. Ideally you can use a digital caliper to quickly measure, or even a fabic/flexible measuring tape with cm/mm (on the back) would do.
