Reading this post with keen interest...I'm also looking to upgrade my system.
So has a verdict been reached on whether running the SWS-8s under the seats with a separate amp and the new improved harness is a good easy PnP fix?
Or do you really need to go the sub boxed in the trunk option?
I would prefer to upgrade the under seat woofers and drive them through a dedicated amp in the trunk, using the improved harness...nice and easy I reckon...
one question...in this scenario, I take it there is no need to run new wiring from the amp in the trunk to under the seats? The new improved harness provides the connectors at both ends and you use the existing speaker wiring as I understand it...is this correct?

Thanks Technic I got the harness and it works great. Just one question. When this is plugged in and I have an amp powering a sub in the trunk are the under seat subs still being powered by the oem amp? Its hard to tell if they are on or not. Also the bass from one ten is overwhelming even with the gain almost all the way down. The levels seem kind of screwy any suggestions?
